Hello,
All I can say is that I am glad I got out of my comfort zone and did this trip.
I came across MPT Lifestyle around a time where I had suffered a personal trauma. Having 2 young children, I knew I had to do something for myself in order to be the best version of me for myself and my family.
In Feb 2023, I contacted Manisha and took the leap of booking my first solo trip to Morocco. Every single question or worry I had was dealt with quickly and I was put at ease straight away. My main aim was to get back into fitness, but also have some quality me time and discover myself again.
An itinerary was given in advance to reassure me of what we would be doing and when, and this turned any anxiety into excitement. Arriving at the villa and being introduced to everyone was also a nervous experience as most people had come in pairs or groups. Little did I know that after this trip my family would be extended by 23 inspiring women!
The support and unity felt on the trip was really out of this world. The energy felt from the mediation sessions, the support during the surf lessons and the respect felt during the mental health talks is something that words cannot describe.
I was overwhelmed, with the space to think and having time to myself without any external noise was the start of my healing, all made easier with a talk with Daksha. Daksha and I had a really long conversation about loss, hardship, progress and the future.
It takes an immense amount of courage to travel solo, but like I tell my children, "If you don’t try you’ll never know" and "Never live your life with regret".
Would I recommend a solo trip with MPT Lifestyle! 100% yes

Hello,
I embarked on my first solo traveller experience in 2020 with MPT Lifestyle and Fitness to Bali.
Of course, I was hesitant, as travelling alone seemed very daunting to me having never travelled on my own before in my 45 years of existence!!! I’ve always had a travel companion however after reaching out to friends and family if they wanted to come along to this retreat, and getting a “no” from people that I had asked, I thought to myself “ why don’t I come out of my comfort zone and go alone”. After making the initial contact with Daksha, my mind was put to ease. I had fears of being ripped off or booking and not getting the service that I had paid for.
Daksha explained how MPT retreats work, discussed previous retreat done so I knew Daksha and Manisha were well experienced in this area. Daksha also described the itinerary for Bali and I was simply blown away that I could not miss out on this opportunity.
Covid struck at the time of our retreat, and with some hesitation I chose to carry on with my plans and attend the retreat.
As the retreat, was nearly booked up, I was asked if I could share a room. I didn’t mind, as this was a good way of meeting new people. The person I shared with Ria Meera was a blessing and put all my fears of traveling to ease as she was also in a similar situation, solo traveller and first time travelling alone. We both got on like a house on fire and within a day I felt like I had known this person for years. We looked out for each other during the duration of the trip and have kept in touch since we left Bali. We even managed to attend another MPT retreat in Lake District climbing Scarfell Pike in September.
Honestly, I think you are wanting to travel alone, and go to a retreat- then go for it. Solo travelling is a good experience and you will meet lots of people on the way and make life long memories.
